Caroline Mascott - Vanderbilt Student with Healthcare Industry Goal

Attending Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Caroline Mascott is pursuing a double major in Medicine, Health, and Society and in Human Organization Development. Hoping for a career in the pharmaceutical industry, she believes her coursework allows her to learn about the impact of economic, societal, and political trends on healthcare. Before attending Vanderbilt, Caroline Mascott graduated with the highest distinction from the Pingree School in Hamilton, Massachusetts, and was on the high honor roll multiple years.

Passionate about involvement in her community, Ms. Mascott leads the Read to Achieve initiative in Nashville, where she reads to local students. Also participating in Surfing with Smiles, she helps those with developmental disabilities overcome their fear of the water. In addition, she traveled with the Divinity Foundation Mission to Kenya to educate girls on health issues.

At home in Massachusetts, Caroline Mascott has served as a senior hostess at the Tuscan Sea Kitchen in Newburyport, handling reservation inquiries, taking customer orders, and training new employees. She also served a summer internship in the office of U.S. Senator Ed Markey. In her free moments, Ms. Mascott enjoys traveling, surfing, skiing, and playing tennis.
